As you enter Typhoon Lagoon, you walk along a short path up a slight hill past an old beach patrol "woody" station wagon and some live macaws. As you reach the top of the rise you catch your first glimpse of the former Placid Palms Resort, with its storm-damaged thatched-roof buildings coursing along the palm-lined pathways that meander off to your left and right. This 56-acre water park would most likely be the choice of FISH if they could choose an amusement park, as Typhoon Lagoon features some of the wettest and wildest attractions at Walt Disney World. Before Blizzard Beach opened, Typhoon Lagoon was the largest water park on property. It is still immensely popular, with its twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways and relaxing rivers. Typhoon Lagoon also features a special area where guests can snorkel among live sharks and other tropical fish. Excluding the snorkeling area, all water is heated to a toasty 75-80 degrees year-round.

Humunga Kowabunga Three enclosed speed slides shoot you through rocky caverns at 48 km/hour (30 mph)! Humunga Kowabunga!	Shark Reef Snorkel through a coral reef teeming with colourful tropical fish and real, live sharks, too! We'll provide the gear. You provide the nerve.
Storm Slides Swish and swirl through caves and tunnels as you rage down one of three different body slides.	Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool Make a splash at one of the world's largest inland wave pools. Relax by a true blue lagoon and a white, sandy beach.
Surfing Want even more thrills? For an additional fee, you can enjoy surfing in our huge wave pool. Sessions are available before and after regular operating hours. Group size is limited. Or learn to surf with Craig Carroll's Surf School in a 2 1/2-hour course. Students must be at least eight years old and surfboards will be provided. Castaway Creek Grab a tube for a relaxing trip around the Park. This is paradise!	A limited amount of complimentary tubes are available all tube rides. Tubes provided at the attractions should remain in these locations. Lockers are located adjacent to the main dressing room and the Shark Reef Dive Shop. Locker and towel rentals, plus life vests for children are available at High 'N Dry Towels. You may use only Disney's Typhoon Lagoon flotation devices (life vests). Life vests are provided free of charge for guests who wish to leave a refundable deposit. Swim attire with rivets, buckles or exposed metal is not permitted on the attractions. Coolers are allowed however, no alcoholic beverages or glass containers are permitted. Children under the age of ten must be accompanied by an adult. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon may close due to inclement weather or maximum guest capacity. Admission media is non-refundable. Guidemaps in multiple languages.
