INTRODUCTION
This interactive kids' playground, located just off New York Street on the far right, is home to larger-than-life props from the hit movie. Scale super-sized anthills and spider webs, crawl in and around a LEGOΠbrick or slide down an abandoned film canister, and dodge the drips from the biggest leaky garden hose you've ever seen!

ATTRACTION
Basically a place for kids to blow off some steam and cool off, this play area features some intriguing props from the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie. The flooring is a spongy mat-like material to prevent bad bumps while the children can attack a variety of physical challenges amidst 30 foot tall blades of "grass":
Large, chattering ants that you can ride on
Convoluted anthills and mazes to explore and hide in
A spider web/maze with climbing ropes
A slide made from a canister of Kodak film
A giant sniffing dog nose that sprays mist
A motion-sensitive hose that drips cool water on unsuspecting guests below
A Lego brick to climb on

KIDS AND CHARACTERS
There is a life-size cardboard cutout of Flik at the entrance that you and your kids can pose with. There are no other characters associated with this attraction. Check your daily Guide Map for times and locations of other Character Meet and Greet opportunities around the Disney-MGM Studios.

The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure opened at the Disney-MGM Studios on December 17, 1990.
The blades of grass in this playground are 30 feet tall.
The soft play surface used throughout this play area is also used in the Animal Kingdom's play area The Boneyard in DinoLand.

The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure offers alot of shrunken excitment, and is especially popular with young children. Based on the backyard adventure of the 1989 film, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, this area has 30 foot high blades of grass and a soft, almost carpet-like ground. Throughout tha area are many fun objects good for climbing and sliding such as huge spider-web nets, an enormous old tree stump, a discarded film canister, Lego blocks, and even a monstrous ant! There is also a garden hose that continuously spurts water and a huge dog's nose that sniffs anybody that walks by. So, for the young and the young at heart, this is a great place to blow off steam.
Shrink to the size of an ant, and explore a virtual backyard, complete with insects, a leaky hose, and giant toys. This large area contains hills, slides, tunnels, and other fun structures to run, climb, and play on. At the back of the play area is a large net-climb, where you can get an excellent view when you're at the top of the net.
Note: The Honey, I Shrunk The Kids - Movie Set Adventure is not open when lightning is near the park.
