Celebrates Friendship and Fun at Disney-MGM Studios
"Bear in the Big Blue House," "Rolie Polie Olie," "Stanley" and stars from "The Book of Pooh" entertain Walt Disney World guests with music, songs and stories of friendship in the new stage show, "Playhouse Disney-Live on Stage!" at Disney-MGM Studios.
The stars of the entertaining musical are characters from the Disney Channel°s popular "Playhouse Disney" programming block geared to pre-school audiences:
Jim Henson°s "Bear in the Big Blue House" - A seven-foot-tall, warm and understanding bear invites the audience into his big blue house every day to play, learn, sing and dance with his friends in this Emmy- and Parents Choice Award-winning television series.
"The Book of Pooh" - The lovable, huggable Pooh and his friends explore the world in a series that combines puppetry with computer-generated "virtual sets."
"Rolie Polie Olie" - This Emmy award-winning series chronicles the touching and sometimes hilarious world of Olie, a six-year-old robot boy who lives with his family in a magical, all-robot world.

"Stanley" - The newest addition to "Playhouse Disney," Stanley takes guests into the life of a very curious little boy with a passion for facts, who searches the animal world for clues about how things work.
The 20-minute stage show at Disney-MGM Studios opens with a visit to "Bear in the Big Blue House" and his animal friends. Bear, who dances a mean cha-cha-cha, wants to dance with all of his friends. But his pal Tutter, a little blue mouse, is shy about dancing in front of his new friends in the audience. So Jamie, the show°s host, reads a giant storybook to convince Tutter that with the help of his friends he can overcome his shyness and learn to dance the day away.
Inside the storybook are chapters featuring characters from each of the "Playhouse Disney" shows - each teaching the importance of friendship. There is interactive fun, from bubbles to streamers, to singing and dancing. The setting returns to Bear°s house where Tutter dances, and Luna the moon sings "The Goodbye Song" with everyone.
"We invite Disney-MGM Studios guests to come out and play with even more of their ´Playhouse Disney° friends, said show producer John Lee. "The show is a terrific opportunity for families to have fun together."

INTRODUCTION

ATTRACTION
PLAYHOUSE DISNEY LIVE! is one of the new live entertainment attractions introduced at Walt Disney World during the 100 Years of Magic celebration, a year-long observance of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Walt Disney. Stars of the Disney Channel's popular "Playhouse Disney" programming block, geared to preschool audiences, take the stage in this mini-musical. Performers featured come from Jim Henson's "Bear in the Big Blue House", "Rolie Polie Olie", "Stanley," and "The Book of Pooh".
The 20-minute stage show opens with a visit to Bear and his animal friends, Tutter, Treelo, Pip and Pop and Ojo. Bear wants to cha-cha, but Tutter, the little blue mouse, is shy about dancing in front of his friends. Jamie, the show's host, uses stories from a giant book to convince Tutter that with the help of his friends he can overcome his shyness. Inside the storybook are chapters featuring characters from each of the "Playhouse Disney" shows, each focusing on a different aspect of friendship. Streamers are shot into the audience, to the delight of the children watching -- then they are showered with magical bubbles. After much singing and dancing, the story returns to Bear's house, where Tutter and all dance with glee. The show concludes with Luna the moon sending everyone on their way with the beautiful "Goodbye Song".
